I have recieved a great deal of emails lately from individuals who are new and want to 'try' BDSM. Some of you have a lot of questions, so I will answer them here, as I do not find pleasure in repeating myself.
For those of you who are new and interested in any sort of bondage or being dominated in some way...
BDSM is a personal opportunity for you to 'experience' with one or more people. So, like any relationship, depending on who the players are, it will be different. It doesn't always involve pain, that choice is yours. It doesn't always involve bondage either. Though, rope bondage is one of my favourites and I highly recommend it.
The objectives should be about personal challenges, new experiences, and pleasure.
My luna for example enjoys challenging herself beyond her own physical and mental limits. It is not about how much pain she can endure when I am paddling her. It's about the sensations in her body at the time and where she goes in her mind. It is about just 'being'.
Yes, BDSM scenes can be intense - one slave told me he 'feels' more than he ever has and ever could in other aspects of his life. Is it an extreme? It can be, but depends on you and the other players. For another slave, it was pure sexual arousal that fueled her passion for bondage. Submission can be about just letting go, not having to think, not having to make decisions, not having to be aware, but just giving someone else the control gives you the freedom.

Domination is the opposite - it's the opportunity to construct a scenario of sorts and act it out using your 'sub'. This is what I enjoy. I have a very active imagination and so I enjoy creating wicked fantasies for the submissives and bring them to life. I always make sure that my subs enjoy the experience.
Bondage is similiar. When fully restrained the bond-ee is completely at the mercy of their Mistress or Master. That can be an incredibly thrilling experience.
